Impatiens is one of the five flowers in the Bach Rescue Remedy formula. It's basic use is to calm irritability and impatience.
Dr Bach's description of Impatiens:
Those who are quick in thought and action and who wish all things to be done without hesitation or delay. When ill they are anxious for a hasty recovery. They find it very difficult to be patient with people who are slow, as they consider it wrong and a waste of time, and they will endeavour to make such people quicker in all ways. They often prefer to work and think alone, so that they can do everything at their own speed.Impatiens, addressing emotional tension and/or pain; This essence remedy addresses mental stresses and tensions. It calms feelings of impatience and irritability. It slows the tendency to move too quickly without care or forethought. Calming. Allows one to deepen his/her life experience without experiencing burnout.
We all have periods in our life when we are overly impatient and need to slow down and go with the flow. This can happen in many instances, anything from impatience to get back on your feet when ill, finishing writing your novel or even getting your wedding planning over and done with.
There are others who can be classified as Impatiens types, rushing through life and never stopping to smell the roses, feeling like every thing should be done now and getting irritable if things do not work out well immediately.
So get yourself a bottle of Bach Impatiens and take it, when required, by putting 2 drops in water, green or chamomile tea, and sip slowly. I find doing this up to four times a day, when I am irritable, out of balance or things not happening as fast and smoothly as I wish. This works exceptionally well for me.
For gardeners out there, Impatiens plants (Impatiens glandulifera) are an excellent addition to any garden. The pale mauve colored flowers were the variety Dr Bach preferred to use in his remedies.
Sweetest Lord, make me appreciative of the dignity of my high
vocation, and its many responsibilities. Never permit me
to disgrace it by giving way to coldness, unkindness, or impatience.

Hello
Im a Pediatrican from India that practices holistically and so I have made it a habit to read herbal blogs.
I see you use many oils and essences and some Bach flw remedies.
Perhaps you'd like to visit my newly-launched website www.farawaysister.com where I have discussed many herbs from many continents, on the various pages which describe different symptoms.
I'd sure love to have your comments. My email : farawaysister@gmail.com
Hi Jackie
Thank you for your comment on my blog - I have just discovered how to get the blog address from a comment! Hence the late visit.
I am interested in herbal remedies for the over 50's but your listings are all under the herb and not the ailment. Can you help as I do not have the time (we are still on dial up) to read through almost two years worth of postings. Great blog!
Put the ailment name in the search box and it will bring up any entry I might have done.
This is a beautiful post and a balm to the spirit. I think I would benefit from Impatiens tea. :)
This works for me as well, Jackie, as so many of Bach's remedies do. I react very well to the plant medicines.
Hello Jackie,
I found your blog while I using "Impatiens" by Dr. Bach. You have an interesting blog. I will return.

Very nice posting, Jackie, thank you.
The regime of Mubarak and his minions is every day to transgress human rights. More than 10,000 Sudanese refugees are arrested and more than 100 have been killed.
Illustrative of the world arrogance and the atrocities committed against the Sudanese refugees by this criminal regime of Mubarak.
I love the Bach flower remedies but haven't heard of this one Jackie. I will have to try it.
